Twitter Marketing Series #3: Using Hashtags To Promote Your Online Business On Your Twitter Site

Hashtags (i.e. the “#” sign) can be attached to a keyword and added to a tweet message so that it and all other messages with the same hashtag attached can be looked up and read together.
There is now a site that records Twitter hashtags.

Fabulous post. Also I wanted to add that using hashmarks has another benefit in that it increases your followers. Every time I tweet about an event or followfriday and use the hashmarks, I always have a corresponding upstick in followers. So if you’re looking to add more followers, using the hashmarks is a good thing to do !
