The Many Benefits Of Social Bookmarking And Why You Need To Use It!
Posted on November 14th, 2008 | by John Baril |If you are in Internet Marketing, you must have heard of the term “Social Bookmarking” by now! This is a great method for building quality back links and getting free, targeted traffic to your sites or blogs. Let’s take a closer look at the many benefits of Social Bookmarking to begin with.
-Social Bookmarking is a guaranteed way to bring in more targeted traffic!
Bookmarks are often categorized into different TAGS (keywords) so you can be sure you will get targeted traffic from people searching for those specific and related TAGS. When they see your site in the results, they will most likely click on your bookmark and visit your site since the TAG is highly relevant.
-Social Bookmarking your links will enable higher search engine ranking!
Quality one-way incoming links is where it’s at! This is pretty much what most search engines look for when giving sites high rankings. Social Bookmarking allows for unlimited keyword links to your site or blog. When you have more relevant keyword links to your site, you can be sure you’ll also receive higher rankings.
-Social Bookmarking sites enable a better Page Rank for your website!
By having Social Bookmarking sites with high PR linking to your websites or blogs, you will improve your site’s PR. What does this mean to you? This means that you can simply, quickly and easily link to your new/existing sites and have them rank higher also! If you want to build quality traffic to your site, then social bookmarking will be a vital strategy.

John,
Great post that stresses the importance of the keywords. Frankly most people forget this and then when they are faced with putting them in, they just put a few that come to mind without thinking about tuning those keywords, adding misspellings to capture the fat-fingered searches, etc. You should post about keyword tuning! I would love to see your perspective on it.
