My previous article about pay per click campaign management talked about finding keywords with a high commercial intention and not just keywords with a high click-through rate (CTR). The best combination would be a high click-through rate combined with the highest commercial intention.

After you have found a keyword with a good CTR and a high level of commercial intention, the next step is to write a compelling PPC ad and then try to improve it by running a split test on your ad copy. Make sure you only test one aspect of the ad at a time. For example, run a split test on the headline of each ad and then run a split test on the offer or main body of each ad separately.
