The
Hidden Advantage Of The Recession For Internet Niche Marketing

People
in Internet niche marketing, like a lot of other people, are wondering
whether the current financial meltdown could lead to an economic crisis
as bad as the Great Depression of the 1930s.
I
don't think it is likely that history will repeat itself this time
around, and I hope that it will not, but just suppose I was wrong and
the recession did develop into a fully
blown
depression... How should Internet marketers respond?
How
about by seeing it as a "blessing in disguise"?
In
this article I will follow the example of Napoleon Hill, the author of
the world-wide acclaimed self-help classic, Think and Grow Rich, and
look at the current economic situation as a "blessing in disguise" for
those involved in Internet niche marketing.
Here
is what Napoleon Hill had to say about the Great Depression of the
1930s:
'The "depression" was a blessing in disguise. It reduced the whole
world to a new starting point that gave everyone a new opportunity.'
By
referring to the Depression as a blessing, I am sure Napoleon Hill
would have shocked and perhaps even offended a lot of people, the
inevitable price for saying exactly what you think! But what stands out
clearly from the passage is the fact that he had no intention of
allowing other peoples’ pessimism to define his reality.
Instead
of seeing only doom and gloom, Napoleon Hill saw that the so-called
"depression" (note how he places the word in inverted commas) actually
brought with it some real advantages by reducing the economic situation
to "a new starting point".
So,
the question for people in Internet niche marketing today is, what new
opportunities do the current recession offer to everyone, but
especially to Internet marketers?
As
more and more people feel less
secure in their jobs or actually lost them, they will start looking
around for new opportunities. A lot of those people will start their
search on the Internet.
If
you have an Internet niche marketing website, you may be able to offer
the new opportunity seekers what they are looking for. If you can do
that, you will be in
a position to
build your own business by helping them make a new start. Now might be
a good time to set up an online survey to start finding out your
visitors concerns.
Use
your Internet niche marketing website to point out the advantages of
working from home on the
Internet. Talk about the low cost of getting
started, the increased control over your life and the flexibility of
being able to control your own work and leisure times, the convenience
of working in your own home and of being your own boss.
If
you can give your website visitors a clear understanding of the
benefits and the opportunities available to them working from the
comfort of their own homes on the Internet, you will be able to turn a
growing market of hungry opportunity seekers into your personal
business clients.
From
that point of view, you can see that for Internet marketers who
"respond" to the current circumstances in such a way to reap the
advantages, it matters not whether we are in a recession or depression.
By helping others to find their own ideal Internet niche marketing
business, you will be giving them the seed of an equivalent advantage
to make up for the problems they have had to confront as a result of
the recession.
