7 Reasons Why You Should Build
Squidoo Lenses To Support Your Business

If you have not yet started using Squidoo, you are missing out on a
great free resource. Basically, Squidoo is a free website where you can
make pages (which are called "Squidoo lenses") and talk about whatever
takes your fancy.
There are Squidoo lenses on almost every conceivable subject. Squidoo
lenses are an ideal platform from which to introduce, recommend and
point to websites that have more detailed content. The people who run
Squidoo actively encourage link building because they envisage Squidoo
as being an entirely user-generated online directory.
It is very easy to make a lens. No more than ten minutes is needed to
build a basic lens, even if you are an Internet technophobe! If you
don't believe me, just give it a try. You will discover that literally
anybody can make a lens within minutes of entering the site.
To make a lens, all you have to do is click one of the "Create A Lens"
links and you will be directed to the "Lens Wizard". You can build a
basic site with the wizard in ten minutes or even less, although more
time will obviously be needed if you want to add a lot of original
detail to it.
I suggest that you concentrate on building a few basic sites at first,
and then come back to them at regular intervals to add fresh content to
them. The reason for this is that Squidoo rewards lenses that are
frequently updated with a higher lens ranking, which leads to more
exposure on the Squidoo site as well as in the search engines.
By taking advantage of Squidoo lenses, you will get a quick and easy
way of promoting your main website on the Internet by linking out to it
from those lenses. There is also a whole stack of features and add-ons
for Youtube, eBay, Amazon, as well as services like surveys, RSS feeds,
blog and article links and a whole lot more.
In short, Squidoo is an excellent tool for Internet marketers and by
making use of it, you will enjoy seven specific benefits, all free of
charge. Here are seven key benefits of making Squidoo lenses...
1. You are allowed to insert links to your own website so you can
easily build back links and traffic by building a whole series of
lenses, and pointing each one of them to a specific page on your
website.
2. Squidoo gets a lot of attention from the search engines, so the more
lenses you build, the better! If you optimize each lens with a specific
keyword related to a particular page on your website and add a link to
that page, you will be building link-juice back to your website, which
will help it to rise up the ranks.
3. Squidoo has a free and open policy towards online marketing, so you
can link your lenses directly to your affiliate product sales pages if
you wish to.
4. Every time someone buys something from eBay or Amazon via your
links, your lens earns a commission.
5. You can invite your visitors to leave feedback and links on your
lens and they can also give your lens a rating of between 1 and 5
stars. You can also post your comments on other people's Squidoo
lenses, which is worth doing because every comment is back-linked to
your Squidoo site. The more sites you visit and post comments on, the
more your site will be seen and the more traffic you will generate as
people surf through and visit your lens.
6. You can easily set up questionnaires to survey your visitors. Like
everything else on Squidoo, this is easy to do in just a few simple
steps; again, no technical knowledge is required. Use your polls to
find out about your niche market.
7. Squidoo runs on a revenue sharing basis, so lens owners can generate
some extra income simply by making and promoting new lenses and
regularly updating them with fresh content.
Those are seven key benefits of building Squidoo lenses, but I would
also like to add an eighth benefit, which is that Squidoo is great fun
to play around with and a pleasant place to hang out on. If you are
looking for a free, easy and pleasant way to get some extra publicity
for your business and make a bit more money on the Internet, Squidoo is
hard to beat.
I wish you
the best of success,
