Two key challenges that many online marketers face are attracting a large amount of targeted traffic to their websites, and converting that traffic into customers or subscribers. You must first understand that it is very hard to sell anything from your Internet campaigns without first establishing yourself as an expert in your field or niche. There is a lot more work than just posting affiliate links on your website if you are serious about earning a full-time income on the internet. You need to build trust and create a buzz around yourself and the product you are promoting.

1. Provide unique, relevant and helpful content. It is important to create your own unique image on your website, and the best way to do that is by adding to your website unique content related to the niche you are in.

2. Let everybody know who you are. Be up front about who you are. Do not use your website as a wall and hide behind it. Post your name and photograph on the front page so everyone can see who you are. And, smile in your picture like you are happy to see your visitors.

3. Add audio content to your website. Below the photo of yourself you may want to add an audio introduction of what your website is about and what your visitors can find. It is best if the audio is in your own voice because it helps build credibility and trust.

4. Use videos to demonstrate your Internet campaigns products or services. Video helps prove that you know what you are talking about and that you are happy with the product. Video is very powerful in converting traffic. Videos are very easy to make and upload, so if you are serious about internet marketing, you need to be doing this.

Make a video demonstration about your main product explaining how it works and how easy it is to use.

5. Give customers a simple choice. You want to try to move people on from the simple choice of "buy or don't buy" to the relatively simple choice of "basic" and "gold" offers.

Do not offer too many choices because your customers will get confused and leave your site.

With offering only two different packages, it will make it easy for your customers to compare one with the other. To be most effective, choose which package you actually want to sell and make it more appealing compared to the other package.

If your goal is to sell the basic package, you could make the “Gold” upgrade package considerably more expensive and load it with stuff that most people will not need. This will make your basic package more appealing.

On the other hand, if you want to promote your gold package, keep the price points between the two packages closer together and load it with value. Now when customers compare them, they will see that it costs comparatively less to get a lot of benefits with an upgrade.

6. Talk up your free gift. Do not just offer a free gift as an afterthought in your Internet campaigns. Instead, emphasize its value. Make a video demonstrating what you can do with a free gift. If it is a free gift that you have created yourself, you will be able to emphasize that it is being given away with every purchase.

7. Upsell on your thank you pages. Your customer has just purchased something and may still be in a buying mood. Make them a nice bonus offer on your thank you page.

8. Use pop-up pages with special offers when customers click away or
pull out of the purchase.

This will give you a second chance to make a sale. If you are offering a subscription-based product, reduce the first month subscription to a dollar to try and retrieve the sale. If you were offering a choice of product packages, now is the time to offer a third cut-price offer.

9. Offer a 100% money back guarantee. Place this guarantee in a prominent position near the purchase button. You could also feature it at the top of your page so customers know from the start that they are not risking anything by buying your product.

10. Ask your customers for testimonials and post them prominently on your sales page. Ask your testimonial writers to supply a photograph. Ratchet up the credibility by asking them to send in video or audio testimonials.
