There is really no point in building traffic to your website if it fails to convert a sufficient percentage of first-time visitors into subscribers or customers.

There are certain business website ideas that every owner needs to implement in order to increase the effectiveness of his or her website in converting first-time visitors into subscribers and customers.

Incredibly, although what I have just said should be obvious to everybody starting an Internet business, most website owners fail to get this right.

You may have heard that as many as 95% of people who get into Internet marketing fail. There are many reasons for this, but not the least of them is this failure to build an effective website.

So, if you are someone who is setting up a new operation on the Internet, you will need to look into designing an internet site that will actually succeed in selling your products. Only then will your traffic building efforts begin to pay off in increasing numbers of sales.

* a friendly and informal "conversational" style.

* contractions like "we've" "isn't" and "doesn't".

* content that's editorial in style, such as product reviews, niche market reports, product comparisons and so on.

* arresting headlines to pique the interest of your visitors.

* bolded keywords to help your readers scan your content.

* subheadings to split your content into manageable, portions.

* a large font.

* lots of white space.

* an opt-in form at the top of the page with a freebie that people can get in exchange for their name and e-mail address.

By avoiding the mistakes listed earlier and by following the business website ideas given above, every webpage you create is virtually guaranteed to be more effective than those of 90% of your competition.
