For
Successful Website Marketing On A Shoestring Budget

What do you do
if you want to get rich on the
Internet but don't have the funds to back a major successful website
marketing
campaign?
Establishing a
marketing budget is the most
important thing that you can do at the outset of your Internet
marketing
career. And the second most important thing is to respect it by
sticking within
it.
The three
essentials for a credible internet
site are a professional domain name, web site hosting, and a reputable
auto
responder service. So put these at the top of your marketing budget.
Maybe
after you have allocated some cash for those expenses you may find you
have
little left for marketing your internet site. Don't worry, because even
if you
only have a dollar a day to spend, spend it wisely and you will be able
to
build up your business.
Starting out
with just thirty dollars a month
still gives you quite several options to play with. The important thing
to
understand is that when you find something that works, you can reinvest
your
profits and gradually raise your budget while lowering your risk. So
here are
some suggestions that you may find useful for successful website
marketing.
1. Become a pro
member on three traffic exchange
sites.
Traffic
exchanges are a popular way to market a
web site on a limited budget. Find some good traffic exchanges that
make
special offers to encourage you to upgrade your membership to paid
member
status. Usually they will give you several hundred credits over and
above the
regular amount and also you will be able to earn more credits than free
members
when you surf the site.
As a paid up
traffic exchange subscriber, you
can generate hundreds or even thousands of views of your web pages and
banner
ads every month. Many traffic exchanges offer you a special "one time
only" (OTO) upgrade package as soon as you sign up for free membership.
Don't go for every one of them, but instead choose the ones that are
good
value. The deals are usually for highly discounted credit packages, but
only go
for them if you still have some cash to spare from your marketing
budget for
the month. Quite often you can reject the first offer and be offered a
second,
cheaper package. Some, but not all, traffic exchanges follow up with
these
second and even third OTOs, each one cheaper than the last.
2. Take out a
subscription with InfoGoRound.com.
InfoGoRound is a private label rights content publisher. It costs
$24.95 a
month, which is a large chunk out of a $30 a month marketing budget,
but the
good news is that you can get a refund by contributing an article to
their
database. Each time that one of your articles is accepted, you get 100%
of your
money back. It takes about two months to receive your cash, which is
sent to
your PayPal account.
If you post an
article on InfoGoAround every
month you will get access to an extensive collection of PLR articles
which you
can rewrite and place on your blog or web site.
3. Article
writing is considered to be an
effective method for successful website marketing and sucking in
targeted
visitors. You can use isnare.com to disseminate your articles to a wide
range
of article directories. It only costs a couple of dollars for each
article you
write to be distributed, which makes isnare one of the cheaper article
distribution services on the Internet.
4. You can
submit your internet site to site
directories manually, but it is a tedious operation and there are
better ways
to use your time, for instance, by writing original articles for your
website
and blog. But building backlinks to your website is an important
operation, so
you might want to consider investing in a directory submission service
and use
it to submit your internet site. It can be done even on a shoestring
budget.
For example, with a service such as DirectoryMaximizer.com, they will
submit
your site to 35 directories for $5, or to 100 directories for $14.
Clearly, you
have a lot of options when it comes
to getting publicity for your site, even on a shoestring budget. On a
budget as
constrained as this, you'll have to select carefully which things you
want to
do each month.
As your
business grows you will learn which
methods of advertising pay off for you. Those are the things you want
to do more
of, and when you know that they work, you can feel confident about
increasing
your marketing budget in that area. Gradually, success will breed
success and
you will soon have broken out of your shoestring budget - but in a way
that is
planned and based on past successes.
These are just
several ways you can get off to a
good start with successful website marketing on a shoestring budget.
I
wish you the best of success,
