Internet Marketing Promotion, Part 1

The idea
of starting an Internet marketing
promotion home business can seem impossible for a lot of people that
have no
experience when it comes to building and marketing websites.
Even
so,
starting an Internet based home
business is very easy even for complete beginners, whether
you’re looking at
starting a website from scratch with free start-up services such as
weekly.com,
or with a pre-designed site with everything "plugged in" and setup
for you such as the Plug-In Profit Site. If you’re looking
for a complete
package that will take you through the process of building and
marketing your
website, check out sitebuildit.com. These are just three popular
website
building services that will save you the expense of having to pay
somebody to
build you a website.
In
these
three examples, and in many others that
are available on the Internet, you can have a website built for you, or
you can
build it without having to know HTML or any other website building
language. As
you can see, starting an Internet marketing promotion business is not
as
difficult as you might have thought.
But,
do
you have to have a product to sell?
Fortunately,
there are many companies that offer
Internet based affiliate programs where you can earn commissions on the
products you sell through your website. An ideal way to start is to
begin with
something that interests you, especially something that you have built
up a
degree of knowledge about and is likely to have a viable online market
to sell
to.
Some
research on Google and other places may
give you an indication of whether or not your area of interest has
anything to
offer from an Internet marketing promotion point of view.
One
free
tool that you can use is the Google
Keyword research tool at
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal.
This tool will show you how many searches are made for particular
search terms
on the Google search engine.
For
example, if you’re interested in selling
stamps from Hungary on the Internet, you could check the search term
"Hungarian postage stamps" using this tool, only to discover that
fewer than fifty searches a month are made for that term. As far as
making
money on the Internet goes, there doesn’t seem to be much
potential for
Hungarian postage stamps at the time of writing this article.
However,
more than 200,000 searches per month
are made for the term "postage stamps," so a complete beginner may
struggle to get his or her website seen with this much competition.
In
short, the more specific your area of
interest is, the easier it will be for you to attract targeted traffic
to your
website because there will be less competition. However, you want to
make sure
that your area of interest will receive enough traffic for you to be
able to
build a business with. There should be at least one or two thousand
searches
per month for the keyword terms you are chasing.
My
next
article will take a look at how you can
use keywords to help you build your website and attract natural search
traffic.
As
discussed in this article, there are plenty
of services available to help you get a website up and running without
any
prior experience of building a site, and there are even more products
on the
market that you can sell on your site to generate affiliate
commissions. All of
these will help you start an Internet marketing promotion business.
I wish you the
best
of success,
