What
Is A Google Backlink
Pyramid?

Most
internet marketers
are aware that they need
to be building one-way backlinks to their website, but what a lot
don’t realize
is that a Google backlink structure will work much better if it is
built with a
clear pyramidal architecture in mind.
Usually,
people build Backlinks without any
clear strategy in mind. This isn’t entirely bad, as backlink
building in any
form is better than none at all, and any kind of backlinking strategy
will be
effective when seeking to dominate a relatively uncompetitive niche.
However,
there will come a time when you’ll want
to try and get onto the first page of Google for more competitive,
kick-butt
keyword phrases. But, because these types of phrases are much more
fought over,
it’s usually only the "big dogs" of the Internet marketing
world
who
can gain the top spot on Google.
So,
as a “little guy,” you need to develop a
specific Google backlink building strategy. This is where a backlink
pyramid
comes into play.
What
exactly is a backlink pyramid?
Backlink
pyramids consist of building links in a
systematic way, making use of popular web 2.0 sites as the base for you
links
and then building several layers of interconnected backlinks that point
to each
other as well as to your website. In order to build a backlink pyramid,
you’ll
first need to know the Google Page Rank of various websites that you
plan to
build backlinks on. We’re talking about websites such as
blogs,
social marketing
sites, article directories, Web directories and free sites such as free
hosting
services, and also squidoo.com or hubpages.com where you can make your
own web
pages.
First,
start with sites that have a lower Page
Rank and set up a series of web pages on them with relevant content.
Post
one-way links from these web pages to your website. These sites could
be free
web page sites, less trafficked article directories, or web 2.0
properties like
hubpages.com or wikio.com. You could also visit relevant but low
ranking blogs
and add some comments in response to the blogger’s posts.
Now,
whenever you post comments or an article on
a higher ranking site, where possible, link the higher ranking page to
your
website and to some of the lower ranking pages where you added content
previously.
By
consistently adopting this kind of backlink
pyramid building strategy, you’ll be building a web of links
which all
ultimately lead to your website, whereas your website doesn’t
link back to any
of the linking sites.
Because
Google seems to give such high weight to
one-way backlinks, as evidence that your site has something of value to
offer,
this kind of strategy is especially effective for improving website
ranking on
the Google search engine, which of course is the most popular search
engine on
the Internet.
Something to keep in mind is that when you’re developing a
Google
backlink campaign, it’s better to build slowly and surely,
rather
than building a massive amount of backlinks in a very short period of
time. backlink building should look natural to search engines. Building
a Google backlink pyramid takes time, but if you stick at it, the
potential rewards for your website and to your bottom line could be
very beneficial.
I
wish you the best of success,
