Articles
marketing can be one of the most
effective ways of promoting your website at zero expense to you.
Finding a
simple article writing format will assist you in increasing the process
of
writing great articles.
Many
people find the task of writing and posting
articles daunting, although the basic idea behind articles marketing is
pretty
simple. I’m going to break down the entire process for you
into a simple
article writing format that will make it easier and quicker to write
great
quality articles.
But
first, let’s first go over the purpose of
article marketing in case you don’t remember. Article
marketing is used to drive
targeted traffic to specific pages on your website.
An
example would be if you want to promote a new
affiliate product, then it would be a good idea to write a review of
the
product and post it on your website and add a click-through link to the
product
sales page. You will want to include some keyword phrases throughout
the
article and within the article title that people are going to most
likely use
when they search for the product.
After
you post a review on your website, you
will want to make sure that it gets highly ranked in search engines for
the
keyword phrases you used. This is where articles marketing can help.
What you
would do now is write a series of articles around the same keyword
phrase and
submit them to internet article directories.
At
the
bottom of your articles, you will be
allowed to place some information about yourself and your business.
This is
where you can post a link back to your webpage. When
people read your article and get to the end, they may be
tempted to click the link to find out more about what you have to say
on the
subject. That link will take them to your product review page on your
website
and ultimately to your sales page.
These
articles that you submit to article
directories will contribute towards your webpage ranking higher in the
search
engines by pointing links back to it.
Your
webpage will rise higher in rankings in the
search engines with the more articles you write using the same keyword
phrase.
For
most
people, writing the articles is the
most difficult part of the whole process. Most do not think they have
enough
experience to write a 500 word article on a single subject. This is
even truer
for articles related to internet marketing.
The
key
is to not think about the article being
a 500 word project, but to think about it as a series of steps that
require
only 50 to 100 words per step. If you follow a simple step-by-step
formula, the
process of writing a single article will become easier, and it will
soon be
easy to repeat the process again and again.
The
formulaic approach will also save a lot of
time, as you will know from the beginning where you are starting from
and where
you are heading to.
So,
here
is one common and very versatile
article formula that you can use to turn out expertly written product
reviews
and a wide range of other articles.
Step
1:
Write the introduction. This can be a
simple three sentence, fifty word paragraph telling the reader about
what you
are going to talk about. (50 words.)
Step
2:
Describe the dream. What is the dream
behind the product? Every product is implicitly there to fulfil a
dream. For
example, the dream behind window cleaning fluid is to have sparkling
clear dust
and smudge free windows. Wouldn't it be wonderful if your windows could
be so
clean! (50-100 words.)
Step
3:
Describe the problem. The problem with
wanting to have clean windows is that it is a pain in the neck to clean
them,
or expensive to have somebody come and do it for you. Have you tried
cleaning
windows recently with soapy water? All you get is a windows full of
soap
smears, and water dripping down your elbows. (50-100 words)
Step
4:
The solution. Describe the way in which
your product has been designed to solve the problem. Talk about the
benefits
the product provides. In our crazy window cleaning example, you would
point out
how there is no spray gun which means you don't get water dripping down
your
arms. The antistatic quality of the liquid means no smears, and dust is
repelled from the surface of the window for months on end. There's no
mess
because you can just spray it on and wipe it off. (100 words.)
Step
5:
The objection. This is the place where
you can raise any potential objections such as price or other potential
negatives. Don't be afraid to discuss these, as dealing with these
points
head-on will add authenticity to your writing. (50 words.)
Step
6:
Rebuttal and reaffirmation. Offer any
counter arguments that will neutralise the negative points, and
reaffirm the
value of the product. (50-100 words.)
Step
7:
Conclusion. Some up everything you have
said and conclude on a positive note. (50 words.)
